Several things can be seen in figure 1. It explains that the nature of employee engagement in modern era is very much different and complicated because many factors should be considered. For an example in earlier days employees used to do any kind of work in the workplace and did not worry much about the stress, nature of the job and not even about the career growth opportunities (Govindarajo, Kumar, & Ramulu, 2014). In modern era, employees are very much concerned about the jobs and responsibilities and they do not hesitate to give up the job if any mismatch or unsuitability comes up.

Modern Techniques to be applied

The most important thing which can be planted in an employees’ mind is that “ensuring the ability to achieve the personal goals in his life” (Motyka, 2018). The causes of the disengagement crisis lie in the absence of support to employees in achieving what they need for themselves (Sathyanarayana, Gargesha, & Bellave, 2017). When I started my career, I personally had some dreams in life and I realized that they can be achieved from this job. That is the motivation that I got from my seniors and it made a very much engaged employee inside myself towards the job.

As explained in video 1, the employee engagement makes a huge impact in turnover of a company although it was not much highlighted in past studies. Maintaining good level of job satisfaction, providing necessary training and development programs, ensuring wellbeing assessments are most common methods used by companies, but very much fruitful in any time period for the betterment of employee engagement.

According to (Sathyanarayana, Gargesha, & Bellave, 2017), there is a strong relationship between employee engagement and the following factors in modern era which could not be seen in past.

  1. Appraisal System
  2. Quality of working environment
  3. Reliability of information
  4.  Superior
  5. Pay and benefits
  6. Communication

In my workplace, I always try to work with the technology and it is really helpful to communicate and look after my subordinates. Employee Assessment Methods, promotions and salary increments, rewarding systems, and welfare for family members are some of procedures that I use in my organization. It will be very much helpful to fulfill the above factors also which play a major role in modern employee engagement.
